Summary
Robby, with a fog lifting from his mind, realizes…
Right.
Three months. He’d told Dennis he could stay here for three months. It had completely, entirely, left his mind.
Dennis speaks first.
“What…” he says, very carefully, eyes on the baby in his arms, “...is that?"or: robby had planned to spend three months running. instead, without telling anyone, he never leaves and goes home with a baby

Summary
“Well, just let me know if it keeps happening, especially such severe bleeding. You can’t be too careful,” Robby states, matter-of-fact, in what Dennis has come to recognize as his doctor-voice.
Dennis nods in agreement.
He opens his mouth to speak but is interrupted, as he sees Robby move his foot across the two inches separating it from Dennis’s. They lock eyes as their feet line up against each other, in a small, subtle gesture that neither completely understands. Seconds seem to last for minutes, as the two drink in each other’s faces, holding each other’s eyes in an intimacy that Dennis usually avoids with his superior. Robby’s eyes are a warm hazel brown, framed by soft wrinkles, revealing his age. There’s something so comforting there.
Overcome with a sudden rush of self-awareness, Dennis shifts his gaze to the door and mutters: “Well, I should get back out there.”

Summary
Michael Robinavitch comes back from his sabbatical, supposedly rested. However, it becomes clear pretty quickly that running away did nothing to solve the root cause of his problem. He will have to learn to trust others and to reach for help. He will also have to do his best to understand why every step he takes on his path to recovery keeps bringing him back to Dennis Whitaker.
Quick version : Robby is losing his marbles and doesn't understand why he's so fixated on this one resident in his ED.

Summary
Jack’s teeth flash in a streetlamp. “This is not the attitude you want to have with me tonight, Robinavitch.”
Robby grins, stuffing his hands in his pockets and shrugging. “Or maybe it is.”
They round the corner, Jack’s house waiting at the end of the block. Jack laughs, a little wicked, the tiniest bit tipsy, bumping into Robby’s side as they walk. “Ladies and gentlemen, gather round to watch the great Doctor Michael Robinavitch dig his own grave!”
--From confessions of feelings and chocolate milkshakes with Dennis to licking Jack Abbot’s boots and fucking him like a dog - it’s been a not-so typical Friday night for Dr. Robby.

Summary
"Three days were all that stood between you and Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch being out of your life for three long months.
A sabbatical. It was genius. Yet, you seemed to be the only one who openly thought so.
He would be gone and, with any luck, completely unreachable. Ten months ago, you had been on the floor with Dr. Robinavitch, talking him through a panic attack.
And now, he barely looked at you."
Or
You work at PTMC and really would like to be left alone. Except, being left alone is what's driving you crazy. Robby leaves in three days. Three days for either of you to give in and make up. Unfortunately, both of you are stubborn as hell. (Not a lot of physical description for the reader. She is in some year of residency, shorter than Robby, and has a strong head voice. No use of Y/N).

Summary
Dennis has been hopelessly ogling the married attendings for the past ten months; Hell, since he saw them running the ED on the day of Pittfest. So when Dr. Abbot and Dr. Robby ask Dennis to cover a few shifts for them, he holds no hesitation to comply. Exhausted and run down after taking on the additional shifts, Dennis doesn't put up the effort he knows he should in assuring Jack that he doesn't need to thank him. After an unfortunate incident involving a locker, Jack insists on having Dennis over for dinner with him and Michael as a thank you. At Jack's insistence Dennis obliges. Little does he know, steps taken, cannot be undone. What begins as a simple dinner of gratitude pulls Dennis out of the hospital's fluorescent safety and into a house built on ancient loyalties and iron-clad secrets. As the shadows of the city's mob tensions lengthen over their table, Dennis realizes that some invitations are vows, and some orbits are impossible to escape. In a world of blood and iron, he must decide if he is willing to follow them into the dark, where the only thing more dangerous than the life they lead is the love they offer.

Summary
After an accident, Dennis receives an unwelcome visit from his past in Pittsburgh. Despite his protests, he is dragged back to Nebraska. But what his family doesn’t know is that he will be bringing his boyfriend with him.
-
“She wants me to go back.” Dennis said.
“Do you want to?” Robby asked.
“No.” Dennis voice cracked before he cleared his throat to continue. “But they need me apparently.”
“For what?”
“I guess the farm got ripped apart on the last tornado, and my dads on bed rest for some unknown reason, and he won’t hire help and my brothers can’t get it done, so they called on me.” Dennis was staring at the table.
Robby's hand found the base of Dennis’ neck pulling his head up to look at Robby.
"I have to go back.” Dennis whispered.
“Yea?”
“Mhm... I’m not a bad son...” A tear ran down his cheek, Robby’s skin catching it.
“No, you're not. You're a good son, a good person, and a great doctor. No matter what they say.”
Dennis just nodded.
“I could go with you.” Dennis straightened. “If you want, I don’t have to.” Robby said, a little frazzled by Dennis sudden reaction.
“Would you really?”

Summary
"I’m not on your payroll, Michael," Trinity added, popping a grape into her mouth—likely part of the 'tip' Dennis had Venmo’d for. "But the white boy in Munich is apparently still worried about your hematocrit levels."
Michael didn't look up. He just let his hand rest on the crinkling plastic of the bag. It was the only thing from Dennis he’d touched in eight weeks.
"Go save a life, Robocop," she waved off, heading for the door. "And for the love of God, eat a carb. Also, text him back or so help me."

Summary
A few feet away, near the edge of the pond, under a tall tree, sat a young man completely absorbed by his book. The man was wearing a baggy green shirt and light-wash jeans. He had his legs criss-cross applesauce, and his nose was buried between the pages of his book.
Even so, Robby could see enough of the side of his face to make his heart thud exceptionally loud in his chest. It didn’t make sense. How could he be here?
Or; Robby thinks he finds a ghost from his past, but instead he finds Dennis Whitaker who is going through a bit of a rough patch. Naturally, Robby wants to help out. So, he does! Whether Dennis wants the help or not <3

Summary
The world ended twenty years ago. What’s left is survival.
Robby knows the rules: don’t trust, don’t hope, don’t get attached.
Dennis breaks every single one of them.
What begins as a smuggling job becomes something far more complicated and far more dangerous as the two are forced across a ruined country where survival isn’t the hardest part.
Letting someone in is.

Summary
“I’ve heard Robby came back yesterday?” Langdon began carefully with his back to Whitaker. He aimed at a conversational tone, but after hearing the words leave his mouth he became aware it didn’t land that way.
Dennis’ face stayed impassive.
“Are you still living with him?” Langdon continued.
“Why are you asking?”
Langdon clocked it as a weird question. He clocked his own inquiry as an equally weird one. This whole situation made him wish he took today off. It made him wish he wasn’t trying to be a responsibly recovering addict.
“I have a favor to ask of you.”

AKA Dennis struggles with memories of past assault. Robby struggles with himself. Langdon's trying not to explode. -

Summary
Based on an interview with Katherine LaNasa saying a friend tried to set her up with Noah years ago.
“He’s gotten quite touchy feely since I was last here.” Monica commented, brow arching in her direction.
Only half paying attention, eyes roving the whiteboard in front of her, Dana hummed. “Well, it’s his first day back, he’s tryin some new things.”
Turning to face her fully, Monica frowned. “I thought he was leaving, not getting back.”
Marker cap now caught between her teeth, Dana’s brow furrowed. “Who you talking bout?” She managed around the plastic as she added notes here and there and wiped another spot clean.
Lips pursing in disapproval at her manners, Monica sighed. “Robinavitch.” -

Summary
“What’ve we got?” Robby asked Dana as he hustled to get to his newest patient. He couldn’t see much yet from outside the patient’s room, just a broad-shouldered body with a halo of sweat-damp blond curls, and pale skin that might have been from shock.
“Male, 26, fell on the ice,” she said, shaking her head. “Kneecap dislocation. Poor kid.”
“Ouch. What was he doing? Shoveling, at this time of night?” he asked. It was coming up on seven, nearly time for the shift handover. It had been dark for hours already.
“Playing hockey.”
Or: in an alternate universe, the 2018 All Star game takes place in Pittsburgh. Ilya gets hurt, and is treated by Dr. Robby.

Summary
Dr. Robby is too old for this. Too old to be losing sleep over a resident.
It starts slowly. Favours and conversation. Things that last longer than they should.
He tells himself it isn’t anything. Just a temporary lapse in judgment. But the way Dennis looks at him makes everything harder.
And Robby, who has spent his entire life being careful, realizes he may have already passed the line of no return.

Summary
Dennis Whitaker is almost done with his residency at PTMC. He’s matched, he’s on nights with Dr. Abbot, and he’s finally—supposedly—over his crush on Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch.
Then Robby and Abbot get punished, shifts are swapped, and suddenly Dennis is back to work under his former mentor.
Old feelings don’t stay buried for long. Especially when it turns out Robby isn’t nearly as unaffected as Dennis thought...
