Summary
The year is 2005. Melody had done everything she could to avoid the other kids from Mr. Dimming’s class in 6th grade, but she cannot stop longing to be with Rose. There’s something special about her. So when Melody starts at Spaulding High School, and gets the opportunity to join inclusion classes once again, she can’t help but agree, maybe then she can rekindle her and Rose’s friendship. Or perhaps she can admit her feelings she despises herself for… and spark something greater.
Rose keeps thinking about Melody, she’s hardly stopped for the last few years. She’ll see Melody in the hallway once in a while, but can’t work up the courage to say anything. Melody just has a magnet-like energy that Rose can’t turn away from. Her laugh, her smile, her eyes… Rose can barely resist her. But a new opportunity presents itself in the beginning of ninth grade, when Melody comes back to inclusion classes. This is her second and last chance, and she can’t afford to mess up again.
Or: Rose and Melody reunite in high school, and feelings both of them mentally vowed to never admit spill over.
