Summary
When Will Byers came back from the Upside Down, everyone thought that Mike Wheeler started courting him. How else can you explain the boy constantly scenting his best friend, or being so clingy or protective? After Will discovers that Mike is dating El, Will turns in on himself. His health deteriorates, and eventually, Mike's Alpha nature kicks back into gear to protect the boy that he once treated as his Omega.
But what if it takes forever to Mike to figure things out? Where would that leave Will? And, worse, if it's already negatively impacted his health once, what if it does again?

Summary
Lucas is desperate. He wants Max to be his mate and a part of the pack. But Mike refuses to accept her, and Max refuses to bow down to him. The Party is tense, and Will can’t stand to see his friends suffering anymore. When Lucas begs Will to use the 'Omega’s Appeasement' to distract Mike and try to convince him to accept Max, Will agrees.
Basically, Will needs to be the distraction: purring, rubbing against him, and using his scent to calm the Alpha – who is not only the pack leader but also his crush since he was five years old.
He agrees to help Lucas and go through with the plan. The problem is, for Will, there is nothing fake about wanting to be in Mike’s arms.
Or: The one where Will does anything for the pack, including offering himself as a distraction toy for a cranky, highly aggressive Alpha Prime. An Alpha he also happens to be completely in love with.

Will Byers loves being chased. No, he loves being caught. Playing tag as kids, Dustin barreling into him, Lucas lifting him up and spinning, and Mike. Mike just standing there, holding him, whispering, “Got you."
When they’re older, they greet each other kind of the same. Dustin hugs Will tight and sudden, as if he’s waited too long for contact. Lucas makes easy touches that send Mike’s eyes darting towards them.
Mike never touches Will, hasn’t for years, unless they’re alone. Then he holds on, doesn’t let go, face huddled into the side of Will’s hair. Slipping down to his neck: nose on Will’s skin, cold, except for the warm tickle of his breath. The push of Mike’s lips as he speaks:

Summary
No other omega would get the terror they all went through. No other omega would know the right way to curl their fingers through Dustin's hair or how to let their scent mix with Lucas's without giving him migraines and making Max furious. They wouldn't know the way Max liked her nails done, because she'd complained the whole time after her first salon visit in Hawkins, and Will had asked her to teach him how she usually did it so the girl would never need to return to such place.
Looking at his own nails, no polish for the third time in two years, almost made Will rip up the messy page he was writing on.
Or: Will Byers is about to lose his mind. While dealing with his pack separating and going to different cities in only a few months, he also had to try to stop getting in the way of Mike's hunt for a mate, which could possibly lead to him losing his spot as head omega. And, for some reason, everywhere he went he heard talks about cycles, heats, ruts and sex.
Seriously, why did people suddenly want to talk about sex all the time? And why, why did Mike have to start his whole 'Freedom from El' process by laying with as many male omegas as he could?

It feels like flying too close to the sun. There has to be a point where Mike realizes what’s going on and stops it. Where he realizes that everything is teetering on the edge of being wrong, too far, inexcusable. What will the final straw be? What is the thing that Will gives in to, far too heartily, with enthusiasm that doesn’t seem platonic anymore.
Will it be something instinct based? A moment where Will can’t stand the way his scent clings to his clothing or how everything blooms when Mike stretches his neck for the fiftieth time in an hour? Or is it just one of those moments where he crouches down and looks up at him despite being several inches taller, that makes Will snap and say something – or worse – do something.
Would Mike be disgusted? Perturbed? Uncomfortable? Would he pretend it's not a big deal and simply pull away slowly? That one would hurt the most.
And then Will remembers El, and his thinking breaks down ever further.
Mike has a girlfriend. It would be stupid. It would be counterproductive. It would be reckless and mean and wrong. Ultimately wrong.
