Lucas hates being sick. Could he ever change? As he curled into himself on the tiles, shivering yet burning hot to the touch, sobs adding to the shakes, Lucas wasn’t sure he had changed since his younger years. Pressing the side of his head into the cool floor, bones aching, he tries to catch his breath, only for cries to escape. Lying there, Lucas hopes he slips between the tiles, disappearing.
Lochie comes to the rescue, and after much protest, Lucas lets him help - maybe a little too much.
