Summary
Stanford Pines is, above all, exhausted. His current assignments feel like nothing more than busy work, designed to keep him out of the field and out of anything that might be even remotely important or useful. Just something to shut him up and get him out of the way of the real agents.
His supervisor decides one morning to have him reassigned to the cryptology unit. It's remarkably cramped, an office composed of databanks and servers and an outdated computer on a singular desk. He'd thought it would be bigger than this. The previous occupant of this office seems to have disappeared, but the computer pays no mind to that absence. As long as the computer has a coworker, it's happy to continue on with its mission. Its sole purpose for existing being to decode anything its assigned human gives it.-I hope to expand this, but for now, a oneshot is acceptable. Just a sort of preview to the larger work that I'll do more on when I've completed a few of my WIPs.-
