Mistoffelees has been going to Jellicle Arts for one month when he learns that the 40th anniversary for the school is coming up within the next month, which of course will be celebrated with a party and performing from the students.
And Tugger is all too eager to sign up, however is denied unless he can raise his grades. Mistoffelees offers to help him study for an upcoming math test so he will be allowed to perform, which leads to them spending a lot of time getting to know each other better.

He combs his claws through the fluff of Alonzo’s head, slides them slowly down to the back of his neck. Curves them in just a little, watching Alonzo’s eyelids flutter. “All right, Alonzo. Let’s play.”

In a world where everyone is born with a mark which supposedly matches with the person that they're 'fated' for, a young Mr. Mistoffelees Jones flies out to LA to spend the week with his younger sister and do some sightseeing.
He hadn’t planned on finding his soulmate. He certainly hadn’t planned on finding that his soulmate is a huge asshole, and most definitely hadn’t planned on finding that his soulmate is also an international celebrity.
But between the lies he can’t stop himself from weaving, the never-ending drama with fake marks and ravenous fans, and his own problems with stage fright haunting him along the way, this 'other half of his soul' business is starting to look like one big joke more than anything else.
(And thank God Tugger doesn’t know about their matching marks. That’s the only way this situation could get any worse.)

Tugger and misto have been friends for years but recently there has been a swoosh in tuggers stomach and a flush on his cheeks when his “friend” is around. Those feelings have only intensified since the jellicle ball. Tugger was HOPING misto would get the hint when he sang an entire song about him but clearly not. A few times after tugger being the party animal he is there have been a few…drunken confessions as some might call them but still misto believes it is just tugger being his usual player self.

Victoria turns and looks right at him.
Misto blinks. He glances around but she can’t possibly be looking at anyone else.
“You’re a magician,” she says, meaning him, because regrettably, there are no other magicians here. “You can magic her back.”
“What?” The word sounds faint coming from his mouth.
She’s staring right at him, and—oh Everlasting—so is everyone else. Tumblebrutus, sat at the base of the ramp, leans in with wide eyes like he expects Misto to pull Old Deuteronomy out of his hat right then and there. Under the scrutiny Misto feels the distinct urge to exit his own skin. As it is, he scoots the two inches away that he can manage without falling off of his perch.
Horrifyingly, Munkustrap actually seems to be considering the idea. Even more horrifyingly, there’s real hope in his expression when he turns to Misto as well. “It’s not a bad idea. Might be worth a try,” he says, voice carefully light and gaze far, far too intense for Misto to deal with.
“No, I can’t,” Misto says, shuffling backward.

Misto knows his limits. He can conjure a bone, some mice, maybe a bouquet of flowers. An entire cat is completely out of the realm of possibility.
