“Bacchanal.”
“The fuck did you just call me!?” Dan whipped his head around to where Phil was, next to the scaffolding he was on. He was met by Phil’s waggling eyebrows. Or at least what looked like an attempt from Phil to wiggle his eyebrows. It more so looked like a rabbit sniffing for food. It was cute.
“No, bacchanal, that's what we are. Well, what this is - well, actually both. Worshipers of Dionysus, or a wild and drunken celebration.”
“Someone's finally done their research, Mr Serious Actor.” Dan taunted, returning to the task at hand. His arms were reached up, holding a fresnel above his head as he fiddled with the safety mechanism. His face was flushed with the effort, his toned arms peaking out from his t-shirt. Phil absently thought that the lights must be quite heavy, if they led to arms like that. It was a tad distracting.
“Says you, you lighting … nerd.” It was the best insult he could come up with, stuttering and stumbling over his words.
OR:
Phil is a renowned actor from the RSC, and Dan is a failed actor turned techie. When brought together through a production of The Bacchae, will Dan fulfil his dreams and Phil heal his heart, or will it all crash and burn?
