Chapter Text
Will was nervous. Mike was coming over today. They were telling Will's family about them being together. Everyone accepted him when he came out but he wasn't sure how they would react to him being with Mike, especially his step-dad, Hopper.
Will heard the door bell ring. He went to go answer the door but El had beaten him to it. "Hi, Mike. You here for Will?" She asked. "Yeah." Mike replied and spotted Will coming to the door. He smiled. Will asked El, "Can you go get mom and dad and tell them to meet in the living room?" El replied, "Yes. Don't be nervous Will. You know they love you and will accept whoever you decide to date." Will had already told El about him and Mike. She was happy that they had finally gotten together.
El went to go get Joyce and Hopper. Mike walked inside and took Will's hands, holding them. "Everything will be okay. You can do this." He said. Will looked into Mike's eyes and replied, "Thanks, Mike. Let's go to the living room." They walked to the living room still holding hands.
Joyce and Hopper were already there waiting when they walked in. Will started talking, "Mom, dad, I have something to tell you." Joyce had noticed Will and Mike holding hands and smiled, "I have a feeling I already know what you will say." Will blushed knowing his mom had seen their hands. Hopper on the other hand, hadn't yet noticed them holding hands. "I have no idea." He said. Will continued, "I've been dating Mike for a few weeks. We've already told El and wanted to tell you two." Joyce smiled and said, "I'm so happy for you both!" Hopper finally noticed they were holding hands and said, "Wheeler... First, you date my daughter. Now, you're dating my son." Mike was about to say something but Hopper continued, "As long as you treat Will right, I'm okay with it." Will smiled and Mike said, "Thank you, sir. I promise I will treat Will the right way. I'd never forgive myself if I hurt him." Hopper smiled and replied, "I know you will."
They continued to talk for a while until Mike had to go home. Before he left, he took Will's hands one more time. "I'll see you tomorrow." Will smiled and replied, "See you then." Mike kissed Will's cheek and left. Will closed the door and El walked up to him. "I'm glad you finally told our parents." Will smiled and said, "Me too, El."
